life as it is, at the moment

Hey everyone, who seems to be no one! :) I'm just writing to write, I guess. Everything's good here in Japan, just getting ready to send of Christmas stuff to Utah. It's crazy talk, Christmas before Thanksgiving, never! Well, here, if we want to get Christmas gifts home, we have to have it shipped by November 13th. and it goes the same for everyone back home, shipped and sent here by November 13th, otherwise we will get it after christmas, which wouldn't be bad. :) Anyways, I have to do all the shopping, Zack's out to sea still, and puts me in charge of the gift getting, go figures. I've got most of it already bought, there's still a few people I just can't figure out what to get, Zack's dad for example. I don't even know what he likes, except eagles, and idk... but moving on...
On a very happy note! Our personal property got picked up from Utah on the 30th, and it should be here on the 29th, and if possible, before Christmas! I'm so excited. I'm actually hoping it comes after Christmas, so my apartment isn't a box filled place. *shrugs* Both Zack and I are looking forward to having out belongings here, from our bed... ahhh... to our kitchen stuff!! yay for me!
Mischa's doing good, she's exploring more into the apartment, she's finding out that it's her place, her home, and we're going to try to get another kitten, it just depends on what the pres of PAWS says about our idea. we're going to introduce mischa to the kitten at incriments, so bring it one day, and not the next, and maybe have it spend the night, and so on, untill they're used to eachother, or just go right into it and put them together, but i don't think it's smart. hopefully everything works out though. :)
Well, it's almost one in the morning, so i'm off to bed. i'll write more lots later! toodles.

well, hello out there! :) this is a strange thing starting a blog. I guess it could be like myspace and facebook, only just blogs. :) well, lets start this out! We are the Drages. Zackari and Rachel. Zack is 20 years old, and in the Navy. He's on the ship USS George Washington, and is curently 'forward deployed' to Japan. The Japanese don't like the term Change of Homeport, so it's forward deployed. His is an FC, Fire Controlman, which means he helps to fire and fix the firing systems on his ship, such as the gattling guns and all that fun stuff. He does like his job, however much he may complain. :)
I, Rachel am 19 years old, currently living in a high rise apartment in Yokosuka, Japan, on a naval base of course. We live on the top floor of our building and have a fabulous veiw of the bay from our balcony. I am thinking of going to college here on base, and try to either become a massage theripist, or something else, trying to keep options open. I enjoy photography, but I don't want to make it a career.
We currently have two cats, one in Utah, one here. Pearl is an all black cat, don't be superstisious around her, she's realy lovey, and really sweet, she's a year and a few month, and small. Mischa is an all grey cat, she is a purebred Russian Blue. She's really shy, and skiddish, but that may be because she's only been with us for 5 days out of her 1 1/2 year life.
(just FYI, We had two before, Dante and Pearl, but Dante just recently passed. He was hit by a vehicle, don't know what, but he's in a better place. He was my baby, my first kitten. :) Even though we got him and Pearl together, she's zack's.)
I guess that's all, I will try to keep this updated. I pretty much got it so I could keep up with my family. :) Until next time!
